Winnie started learning the piano at the age of four. She obtained her Bachelor of Music (Hons) majoring in piano performance and pedagogy at Hong Kong Baptist University. She continued her piano performance studies at Hong Kong Academy of Performing Art.

She was awarded the first runner-up of the Recital group with the first honours prize at The 3rd Asian Youth Music Competition. Two years later, she was awarded Distinction in LRSM piano performance and was invited to perform at the Diploma Ceremony organized by the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music.

Winnie is an active piano accompanist and chamber musician. She has collaborated with numerous musicians including French trombonist Jacques Mauger and Norwegian euphonium player Patrik Randefalk. She also performed as an accompanist in the Slider Asia Trombone Festival giving recitals with other musicians.

She loves working with different people, from amateurs to professionals, from children to adults. She encourages students to know more about the background and story of the music to add to their understanding and interest, and also ensures the correct technique is taught in order to gain the strength and ability to play. Winnie is also eager to continue to develop different ways of teaching to help students learn the music more efficiently.
